Starting a national trend, Davidson County Community College has launched a program, Scholars of Global Distinction, recognizing students for their commitment to understanding global issues through coursework, extracurricular presentations, and a global experience. Instructors at DCCC have globalized MAT 143 to add to the courses students can take towards their globalized coursework. Presenters will share globalized labs, how they created the labs, how students reacted to the global material, and why globalizing courses is important and relevant for students.
